Date: 12th November

Time: 10am - 5pm

Duration: Roughly 7 Hours (with a break for lunch)

In this workshop, you will be introduced to the art of pleated lampshade making.
Jeanette, co-founder of From Home will guide you through the process, step by step, teaching you all the little tricks you need to create your very own bespoke, professionally finished pleated lampshade. By the end of the class you’ll be walking home with your very own lampshade.
All you need to bring is yourself and 1 meter of suitable fabric, nothing too thick (not velvet or linen), There are oodles of fabric choices but lightweight is key. Silk saris are very popular as are block print ikats and, of course all things vintage. Cotton lawn, voile and lightweight silks also work a dream. Experiment with patterns, as the gathers change the overall look of fabric designs in amazing ways.
